Sudden increase in earnings

I have been going back to all of my older discussions for the past few hours. Yes it is taking hours to read all of the comments that you all have left, and some I have had a hard time choosing a "best response" because some are so good. But that's not what this discussion is about.
When I started off doing this morning I had a balance of $7.03. Now I have not posted anything in a couple days (I know shame on me, but I've been busy) Well I glanced over at my balance a minutes ago and now I'm at $10.08. So I'm wondering if going back to your discussions, rating them, and choosing a best response, has something to do with the amounts we earn for posting here. I mean, what else could be the reason for the $3.05 increase? I went back to the previous month's earnings and at least 10 of them have increased. A couple even doubled.
Has anyone else noticed this happening?

I started out today with $7.81 and I now have $10.23. I have no clue how this happened. I even looked to see if I had more referrals; nope. My star rating hasn't changed. I'm floored. Maybe the site's add revenue is increasing and we are reaping the benefits. Or maybe they are really starting to reward good answers and not paying the "yes I agree" or "I don't know" people.

Yes! It happened to me, too! Not the big $3 jump, but $1. But, I too, got excited, and wondered what was happening. I looked through my earnings and couldn't see where it was added on, but I suspected from last month, also. And yes, today I did go through some old discussions.

Discussions that get deleted . If my Lot deletes them then they take their earnings and give them to the people who answered from what I understood.

It happened to me too. I haven't posted in days, or responded, or anythign, then suddenly I'm up 5$! If I go look at January, it suddenly says I have more for January then I did previously.
So... maybe we do get paid for older discussions when other people visit? I really don't know but I am happy about it :) Definitely motivates me to stay here!

The same thing happened to me. I hadn't done much posting or replying lately, and hadn't even logged in for a couple of days, but my earnings went up about $2. I was a bit surprised!

There is actually this statement at the bottom of the earnings schedule. "All amounts are estimates and are subject to change until final payments are made." I have actually had this happen to me every month now and I queried it with myLot the first time. They said that they the money allocated to those who had been banned or for discussions which were deleted was shared amongst those who had responded on the same days as these other earnings were made.
This means that if they banned some members and between them they had "earned" $100 in say 14 days, that money would be allocated to everyone who had not responded to discussions started by these now banned members but had responded to other discussions. The same applied to those discussions which were deleted by myLot for some reason. I got quite a substantial increase actually which was a nice surprise for me, particularly as I haven't been here much at myLot during January due to other things happening in my life. :)
So my friend, you have benefited by being an honest member and giving quality responses or starting good discussions. :)

Yes, it has happened to me also. I have been seeing all kinds of posts about people losing their money. I just gained about 12.00 to 15.00, I'm not sure exactly and I can't tell by looking at my earnings as it doesn't show there. I know I was somewhere around 37.50 to maybe 40.00 but now I'm at 55.34 ??? I won't argue...lol I say Yea MyLot...keep it up...lol

This is the same discussion as mine, and I have to say I think it's probably a glitch. Or maybe they're increasing it based on our star rating. I don't know, but I hope that it stays this way lol. Because I really like the price that I'm at.

I think that money came from your referrals. I have two referrals they hardly earn any money so i dont get much from them only as little as $0.5 ort something like that.

It hasn't happened to me yet. when it does I'll let you know. I think what happens is that every hour whether we are online or not, it goes through an updating period. Its too bad it doesn't give us interest. But for the most part I believe that's what happens. It probably to slow to count everyone at the same time. It was probably paying you for what you didn't receive.

Congratulations, I do not see any differance in earnings by going back and rating, choosing best response etc. I have done that with mine and got nothing off it that I can tell, it seems to be the same old same for me 1-2cents for every post and nothing for any of the other work we do, maybe that is just me.

ya ofcourse i think their is something in posting the ratings and responding to the people who have responded to our discussion and i dont think either it ll be increased to such a big amount cause even i have done that it is not gone above $1.5 any how congrats for that and keep on rating to that as well as for our responses such that it ll be an advantage for both of us.

My theory on this is that the MyLot executives have determined which members are here for the community spirit regardless of reward. They believe these members will visit MyLot long after MyLot stops paying out anything. Isn't this why people are signing up? It is because of the online social interaction and not potential income, am I not right? I'm such a cynic.
