I have actually been practicing this in my life for several years, as a result of the teachings of Deepak Chopra and Dr. Wayne Dyer. Now that the cat's out of the bag, maybe a shift in thought process will create some light in these dark times. I truly believe that what you focus on expands, and if more people started to focus on positivity, it would create a more positive and affluent world.
How did you feel about it. Most people, when I've talked to them about the laws of attraction laugh and say, "Yeah, I'm attracting the lottery to me. I'm gonna win a million dollars...(under their breath then,) idiot."
But then their life is filled with negativity and struggling and doubt, I imagine.

I love Wayne Dyer, just to start this off...
I get annoyed when people react like it's a big joke. But then I realize, they aren't ready and when they are (hopefully one day) they can change their own thoughts and minds. But I do share with everyone I know what I have experienced just so I know theyve been told the truth at least once.
I think the problem is that people don't like the idea of being accountable, especially for their own life, even more so if they aren't getting everything they ever wanted.
What they need to realize is that every experience they have in life there is one common denominator in all of it... THEM... so if something isn't working, then MAYBE, just MAYBE the problem is THEM!
It's funny how some people just "get it" and others take awhile. But I suppose everyone will have their time.
I'm glad that The Law of Attraction is floating around in The Universe for everyone to learn about and understand. Some just need to be a little more openminded.

Did everyone get to watch the show Oprah had on just this past Friday Feb. 16? It was a followup to the first show from Feb 8. "The reaction to The Secret".
It was great. I have a link and I have also been blogging about the LOA on my site. Check it out

Wow - I just finished the first book in the course I am taking on the law of attraction.
"The Secret" provides a really good base knowledge to get started with the Law, but if you're intrested in expanding your knowledge even further drop by my blog linked to my profile. I'm reviewing and sharing a bit about what I'm learning in hopes of helping others.

I watched the video last weekend and one thing bonked me on the head pretty hard. The reason I cannot find a part-time job is because I really don't want one. I know I need one for financial reasons, but I don't want one. That is why I can't get one.
I know it will take awhile to adapt to the teachings of "The Secret". I believe I have always been quite negative so this will be tough for me. It is not just about positive thinking. It is about thinking, feeling, believing and then acting. You must believe within yourself that something will happen. My friend put a picture of a Cadillac on her fridge (a long time ago - she has always lived this way) and she did end out winning one. There is power and it comes from within. I don't know whether I have what it takes but I am willing to try. For starters I am going to do a life map - pictures and words of what I want in my life. I will hang it over my desk where I can see it every day. I will focus on what I want and not what I don't want.
I really hope I can do this because I know life would be a whole lot better for everyone, especially if everyone learned to live this way.

I watched the movie about a month ago and I think it makes some really good points. If we think about it, if our partner is depressed or cranky how often do we end up in the same mood? So it makes sense to me if we are thinking positively then the people around us will be more positive also. I don't know about attracting the lottery though, lol (and I'm not muttering idiot under my breath either ) I'm just not to sure on this point. I think all in all though if we all thought more positively it could definitely cause some wonderful changes in our lives.

I can accept the fact about what we think, we manifest into our lives BUT sometimes it works for me and sometimes not and I don't know why. I'm constantly visualizing Publisher Clearing House arriving at my door with that big check. I can actually feel the whole event. But I've been doing that for over 9 yrs now, and no check so far. I enter all their sweepstakes, both online and off, yet I'm still optimistic that when the time is right, it will happen.
Now the big question, when did quantum physics get discovered? I've always been a science major in school, back in the 50's and 60's, I loved physics but never heard of quantum physics at that time. Is this something new for the 21st Century perhaps? I'm anxious for Law of Attraction people to answer me that one.

Hi Journey,
I notice how you say sometimes it works for you and sometimes it doesn't. The Secret is a great movie and it really gives you a good starting point for the Law of Attraction. But if you want to really study on it, I am doing a course that is much more in-depth and am blogging about it. You might want to check my blog that it linked to my profile here. Hope that helps.

Yes, I watched Oprah, and saw her guests, people who are teachers of The Secret.
I love the movie, The Secret. I watch it a lot. It serves as a reminder to me, to keep my thoughts moving forward. I see in my mind what I really want. I ask to have it, and then I act to make it happen. Over the last three years, much has happened in my life to prove this to be a truth.
The trick to the Law of Attraction, is not, to just visualize something that you want (like winning a lottery)but to see it clearly, ask for it, and then ACT to make it happen. I don't think money just comes to your door, because you see in your mind, the guy with the cheque.
Also, the most important thing, is to STOP thinking about, and talking about your lack. You will get more of it.
Start thinking and talking about, and being GRATEFUL for what you already have. Remember one of the first things they talked about on the program was, this.
NOTHING NEW CAN COME INTO YOUR LIFE, UNTIL, YOU ARE GRATEFUL FOR WHAT YOU ALREADY HAVE. !
Look around you, and make a list of what you have now, that you are grateful for. Do it everyday.

I have seen the movie well over 50 times.I love it.Yet most of whom I introduce to "THE SECRET" see it as a mystical movie and laugh, yet they still ask me how am I always to happy and full of joy?.With joy I reply. Have you not paid attention? What is it that you don't understand? Here take the movie home and watch it over and over. And this I say If you have not yet seen the movie then do so.Those who did so have not yet finished thanking me.They feel as though they can't thank me enough.I replay.Thank yourself for attracting this great wisdom and they smile.
Great discussion
