Are you, or someone you know, addicted to TV?

I'm sure glad to say that I'm not, but I know someone who is and I think it's terrible. What a way to waste your life. Anyway, this person is hopelessly addicted to TV. He has 5 TV's, 2 per satellite reciever and one rigged up to a coat hanger with copper wire. The latter is an attempt to pick up games he can't get on his other TV's. At a minimum he always has at least 2 seperate TV's going 24/7/365, often 4, and sometimes all 5. He never turns them off even when he's at work. He sleeps in front of them with the volume blaring, which makes me wonder how he can get any rest. He makes 1 trip out for supplies early each Sat. morning so he can minimize what he misses on the tube. He never mutes the TV for any reason, even if he's on the phone or talking to someone in person. If the power goes out he paces the floor until it comes back on. When he's not watching some type of sports he's watching old westerns or reruns that,(by now),he's seen hundreds of times. He spends no time outdoors and has no other interests. I've never seen anything like it. Have any of you?

Tens and thousands of housewives in Bangalore city keep watching TV for hours, because of soap operas, serials with sentimental family feelings. What these people do not know is they are spoiling their eye sight, they are spoiling their health with obesity and other health problems due to laziness and lethargy. I fully agree with your points.
