What do you think are the reasons why these fast growing fast-food restaurants became popular in our times today? Is it because of the service they gave? Or the impact of advertisement to their costumers? Or perhaps they perfectly adapted to change in people's lifestyle today? What do you think?

Simple and it's on the name: fast. People nowadays are always in a hurry and fast foods are that, somewhere you can go and eat without killing much time, and of course the fact that it won't cost too much is also a big factor.

Great response! I have also noticed that nowadays, almost all "fast" stuffs are in-demand specially in technology like fast computers, fast approval of loans, and others. thanks for your post.

I think alot of it has to do with word of mouth. Alot of it I feels starts by the many americans who live on fast food. They get tired of the same thing to eat everyday. Then we have a new fast food come into town and they go try it in hopes of finding a new place to eat. Then in turn they speak about it amongst friends, family, and co-workers etc.

That's a great observation. You are right because here in our country (philippines), most of the fast-food restaurants originated in US. I have also seen the big contribution of mass media in the emerging of many fast-food chains as far as our country is concerned. thanks.

Fastfoods became so popular because of the change of lifestyle of the people. Even in the workplace, we always value time. Race against the clock. We should finish this before the deadline. And now, problems came up, like "Do we have time for food?" or "Do we have time waiting for our food to be cooked?" And then the answer to this question is fastfood. They system of almost an instant meal hit the consumers because they can insert it to their very tight schedule. Hence, the popularity of the fastfood.
