Pets in the bedroom

We ensure that our birdies are securely in their sleeping cages at night. Do you ensure your pets, dogs and cats included, are snug in their own beds, or do you have animals sneaking in left, right and centre and wake up with no duvet, a paw up your nose and another in your ear?

Well you know Gissi, his Bed is next to mine and normally he is not to bad, but when he gets the occassional turn, or he gets cold, I get the Nudge to let him under the Covers and if I don't lift the cover I get licked till I DO LOL.

For a little fella he takes up a lot of room too, doesn't he? Cute little doggies like him charm their way wherever they want to be lol.

Yup, that is the way cute little fellas work all right. They make sure everyone else is wide awake and on the look out for any dangers and then they can toddle off back to sleep, safe in the knowledge that everyone else is keeping guard lol.

It is funny when they get these ideas into their heads. You would think that dogs would like to be inside on a nice comfortable sofa. At least you get the bed to yourself!

my dog actually sleeps on the bed with me and my hubby, he'll crawl or dig his way under the covers and lay at my stomach. hes just a big baby. as for the ctas they sleep in the living room. they know not to come in the room and jump on the bed because there is no telling where the dog is laying and he will go after them for waking him up lol

Oh dear, those pussie cats know who rules the roost, don't they lol.
Do you find that you end up clinging to the side of the bed, with the dog taking up most of the bed? My dog was only a whippet, but that was what happened every night!

Titon sleeps with me. I actually got a queen size bed so we both can fit. Still though he has the habit of sleeping side to side on the bed instead of top to bottom. That is annoying. But in general he is a good puppy and sleeps at the foot of the bed.

No, gracie, he is a good puppy and sleeps at the foot of the bed whilst you are awake lol. While you are asleep he uses you as his pillow!
He is a lovely dog though.

We have 4 cats and they have the run of the house. They wouldn't let us close any doors to keep them out of a room. At night, they usually sleep on the bed with us. It makes for a nice warm sleep.
I have one cat who likes to pat my eyes or mouth to wake me up when she wants something from me - like my pillow. LOL

Oh lol, you really have your work cut out there! If they won't let you shut doors, I hope you don't get cold with the winter chills. Yes, cats do have a way of getting what they want, and I should think your pillow is only stage 1. Feed me is probably stage two lol.

My dogs sleep in our bedroom. They will destroy everything in the living room if we leave them there all night.

oh lol! As bad as my birdies! If we let them sleep in the bedroom we would have no furniture left at all!

My Newty dog has her own bed in my room and I put her action man sleeping bag over her every night but usually about 4am she's on the bottom of the bed gradually taking over most of the middle until we are just about falling out, lol. She has her own special chair in the lounbe but trys to go on the leather sofas, bless her, I don't really mind - they scrub up quite well.
My Polly cat used to sleep round my head until Shrek moved in 4 years ago, now she sleeps in the lounge or under the bed, in the daytime she sleeps on the bakc of the sofa in the sunshire through the window or under the heated clothes airer in the kitchen.
Yes, you guessed they are both spoiled to bits and I love them more than anyone.

Yes, that sounds about right, you get as much of the bed as I used to when I had a dog! Polly is a typical cat, get another human on her patch and its sulks away lol.
The heated clothes airer sounds a good spot to sleep under in the winter, too.

Do they sing to you and make an enormous noise if they can not get in with you? My neighbour's cat makes a noise that sounds like he is being beaten or something, and the noise is really loud, so he gets his own way most of the time lol.
How many cats do you have?
