Does it annoy anyone else when they advertise something on Televison and you really would like one but the price is a little more than you can afford then they say at the end "and you get a bonus, you will get two for the price of one".....I hate it because if the cut the price down a little more people could afford to buy it and some of theing they do this with no-one needs two....

just a ploy to get you to buy more than you want ..... most people think they are getting a bargain ..... they're not. We hear it all the time on our small farm ..... people come in for something and then ask for the second one cheaper. They get it cheap enough ..... lot less than they pay in the shops .... less than we could get from sending to market .... but we don't mind that when it is the locals. If I wanted 2 of something ..... I would buy 2 ... it is just a way of making you spend more money in many cases ..... still have to pay for the postage anyway .... so it is not cheaper at all. And wait there's more ..... if you take up this offer in the next 10 minutes you will get ..... a free set of steak knives. If we wanted steak knives we would buy them .... just take the price of the steak knives off the other one .... we will all be happy that way.

I think myself that it is a great idea if you have a family and can use them up , but I think if you are a single person that yes it must be really annoying , I often say to my hubby " why don't they just say half price" I don't think we will ever understand marketing ploys lol xx

They want to sell double the quantity with shall I say half the effort? that's the only way they can work to make it economical, otherwise, the math doesn't work out and hence they give you two for the price of one.

Two for the price of one is such a joke. They have sales here that you can buy 1 get 2 free, but at the same time jack up the prices so that it all evens out in the end. Just give us a good sale where we can save a little money.

But what really 'fries my noodle' is realizing that the item probably didn't cost more than the shipping charge to produce. My answer to the whole issue is to wait, sooner than you think that item will be available in Walmart of Target minus the shipping charge and in some cases discounted...SS

I know. There are also five for one thing and it annoys me because I only need the one thing while I already have the other four. I think they make money on heavier shipping plus high inventory turn around.

Boy, does that offer annoy me. Why on earth would you want to buy two vacuums for instance - why don't they just half the price so you can buy one? It really bugs me, and I think these kind of offers should be banned.
