If I were the man, I would marry the girl I love and love me back. It has nothing to do with the accident. I would be the best friend and supporter for the disabled girl but I would not marry her. It's very brave of her to sacrifice herself, and therefore she deserves better than fake love. I would protect her from those who will manipulate her, and will find her someone that she deserves. Love is neither pity nor deceit. The girl is already physically disabled, a fake marriage will only hurt her more.

I think that the first person who responded to your question had the best idea. I was really struggling over the thought until I read that response, because it would seem to harsh to have someone put themselves in harm's way for you and become disabled because of it, and to know that that person loved you, and just to leave them in the cold. But the person is right, if you were to force yourself to be with that person who protected you, that would not be right. It would be like giving them fake love, when they obviously deserve so much more. Also, it would be very difficult for me to leave someone that I love who loves me back the same as I love them, so I don't know that I could have done it, either way, no matter who it was for. All I have ever longed for is true love, and I would hate to do anything to mess that up.

i would choose the first girl because you both love each other. if you choose the second girl to marry, you might feel miserable for the rest of your life.

I will marry the person whom I love. Marriage is a lifelong commitment and I don't want to be stuck in a relationship that is one way. I will never marry a person out of pity.
