GENESIS CREATION
Is it stated in the bible that we can or cannot eat animal meats? I heard in a sunday homily that the Jews have a number of animals that they considered unclean. The muslims don't eat pork but the Catholics they eat almost everything. Can anyone enlighten me about this thing? Thank you.

In Genesis after God created the earth and everything in it, He told Adam and Eve that every plant was theirs for food. Later in Genesis, when the earth is flooded, after Noah comes out of the ark, God makes animals available for food. Some animals are considered clean and some unclean at that point. Several thousand years later, after Christ came, the apostle Peter had a vision which indicated that all food are now clean.
That's the Christian perspective. Jews still live under the Old Testament law which means some animals are unclean to them. I can't really tell you about muslims.
