why do insects becomesless active in cold weather?

i think insects also feels cold. and they are not active during cold weather cause they don't have any for cold weather cloths.

Probably the same reason I do, it is just too darn cold to go out. LOL Of course, many insects die and new ones are born to replace the old ones. Maybe some sort of hibernate, to help store energy for the spring when fresh food will be available. But I think the majority of them die.
