For years when I settle down to pray I have a long list of people I pray for: my children, grandchildren, parents, siblings, spouses of my children, friends, church and the list seems to go on and on. Recently I met a couple who each day they have a specific child or their own, and specific others that they pray for rather than praying for everyone everyday. How do you pray for others?

I say the special prayers for first, those close to me by name, cicumstances, and I also say if the list is long, that dear god, you know what is in my heart and you know those with needs, and knows what needs to be done, I ask that you include every person in my heart and mind and do you will.
Hope this helps, hun! *hugs*

When I say my prays at night for my family, friends and those I love I do say my husband's name,my children's name and my grandson's names, but for the rest of them I ask God to be with them in their countries where they live as they are our family, as we have family and friends that live overseas.

I pray for others as I see the need. That may not be the right way to do it, but as they say, "The squeaky wheel gets the grease.".

I pray for whoever is on my heart at that time. There are times I may just ask God to keep my home and family safe, but go into deep prayer for the needs of someone else. Also, I don't just pray at one time. If I see a need througout the day, I say a prayer. It may only be a few words, but I'm still lifting the situation to the Lord. Also, I big on gratitude. I thank God for the little things as they happen. Gratitude opens doors.

I actually feel bad. There are so many people that I say "I will pray for you", or "my prayers are with you" but when it comes time when I pray, I can't remember all the people I said I would pray for. I try to run through a list of people I know are in need and then ask God to help all those who have asked for my prayers, or who are on such-and-such message board, or in such-and-such group. I mean, I have said I'd pray for someone and I don't even know their name. How do you pray for someone when you don't know their name?
God knows who needs His help and He know who I have said I would pray for. I think just saying "I will pray for you" is a prayer in itself.

I usually pray when I get up, I don't kneal on my knees but sitting down I pray. I pray for my mother, my brothers and sisters and their respective children, for my husband, my daughter and son, my country, thankful for waking up, for my food, my husband's work, etc. I pray several times during the day and when I go to bed.

There are just so many people that need our prayers, besides ourselves. I Ask god for forgiveness of my sins and to help as many other people taht need help that I can think of at the moment. It is not possible to remember everyone to pray for. We just need t oask God to help those we have not mentioned.

I pray for others firstly by who has the greatest need. Then next to those who's needs are not so great. Then I just pray for those with general needs. Keep in mind actually it really doesn't mind how we as humans generalize. God knows those with the greatest needs and is aware of that.

I try to pray for all of my loved ones and anyone else who may need it at the time that I would have not thought about praying for.(But I guess we need prayer all the time regardless of whether or not we are facing tough times in our lives). I pray for complete strangers that I hear about in the news that are going through something rough.

I pray for those in special need first then I kind of sum it up at the end, I always make sure I do the thanking first for what God has blessed us with. I think it is important to thank him before we star asking favors. I have had bleesings in my life and I know he rewards us for thinking of others. I think it is good for you to pray for everyone all the time. My time in prayer is very special to me and I cherish it very much. I am always afaid of leaving something or someone out so I tend to do a general "watch over everyone" tipe thing at the end. I know that when others pray for me it has helped and I want to do the same for others ! God bless you and your family !

Sometimes in my prayers I just thank God for his goodness and blessings! When I pray for others, such as my family and friends, I just ask God that he already knew everything, he know who needs help, i just ask him that he know whats the best for all of us!
