Sehwag was almost there, when we scored 414 against Sri Lanka last year, but Sachin got lucky yesterday. There was hard work and determination, no doubt about it. I always thought Sehwag had great potential to do it. He scores much faster than any batsman in the world, and he has torn apart every bowling attack, to which even the best batsman in the world Sachin, had no answer. :) But unfortunately Sehwag gets out at the most unexpected moments. Had he had the consistency of Sachin, we would have seen him create amazing records. But two triple centuries is in itself a great achievement.

According to me Sachin, Saurav, Lara, Smith, Pointing and there are many few whom i can still name!!!
but these players need a competetive score for motivation.... else it's inevitable!

If we go according to some statistics. From the players who are currently playing and have scored in ODI's above 145 runs in an innings we have the following star performers.
Players who have attained this feat 2 or more times
ST Jayasuriya
189
157
152
151
BC Lara
169
156
153
CH Gayle

SR Tendulkar

SC Ganguly

172
154
A Symonds

From the above stats I would put my money on
Jaysuria, Lara, Dhoni, Tendulkar, Ganguly, Gilchrist and Symonds
An if you ask me from old stalwarts it would be none other than Viv Richards
