I work in a hardware store and this is always a common question that comes up. So many people swear by Gorilla glue and it does have a great rating. But Elmers makes a good wood glue that I have used for years and is less expensive. The Gorilla glue works on more than wood and I believe that is why it is more expensive. When you use the Elmers, be sure not to use more than necessary since it will also ooze out and if you are staining the project, it will not take where the glue is. Be sure to keep a damp cloth handy to wipe the excess glue off the wood so that none remains. Either us some clamps to hold the wood pieces together or even rubber band it tightly till it dries. That way you will get a secure bond. Good luck with your project!
