Weeeelll.... several angles, here.
On a sortof "biological" level, men are perhaps more prone to cheating based on the old scientific "survival of the species" maxim that says that the male needs to impregnate multiple females to ensure genetic variety, which ensures better chances of species survival.
Of course, that assumes that men have NO "impulse control," whatsoever. So I'm just talking about a place where the INCLINATION to cheat might come from.
I'm 46 and have had a few long-term relationships, but have never cheated. However, when I have felt tempted, it has nearly always been tracked back dissatisfaction with my current situation... and MOSTLY in the context of being with someone who refused to talk about problems in the relationship, and/or who perceived that "everything is fine, YOU are the one with the problem." Below that has usually been a subtext in my mind "You've really turned out to NOT be who you seemed to be while we were dating." When I look around at my married friends, that does seem to be a pattern... the happiest ones are those who were very open and honest about themselves up front, and never employed any kind of "game playing" or "exaggerations" about themselves in the beginning of their relationships.
Not sure if that really answers your question, but at least it's an OPINION... :-)

I agree with you. Maybe no man is ever happy with just one woman.
