Philipines, what is Pinoy ?

I don't mean to offend anybody but every philipine's sites I always read pinoy. Pinoythis or pinoythat.
What actually Pinoy means ?

very well said my kababayans. pinoy is a local term used to describe filipino males. pinay is of course for filipino females or popularly known as filipina

Hmm... that's interesting.
Now tell me what is kabayans ? because one of Indonesian dialect (Sundanese) also have Kabayan vocabulary.

kabayan or kababayan means people from the same country. the filipino word bayan means country.

america = american
japan = japanese
philippines = filipino or "PINOY" in our local dialect.
