Ok - so we all have a bad day sometimes. So if you've had a row with the boss, or with your partner, if the weather is bad, or you've just had one of those days when you feel like the world is against you............ how do you cheer yourself up? I tend to eat chocolate, or go out and buy myself a little "present" - real "retail therapy"! But how about you?

Hey, you remind me of a real bad day in my life. A Long time back, when I was in primary school, everyone around me was shook by some national calamity that they all failed to remember my Birthday. I felt so dejected, since I was not old enough to get too much involved in the national trajedy. But I managed to get into my favourite ice cream parlour and spent all my piggy bank earnings on my favourite flavours. It felt so good when the cold feeling slowly got to my stomach and spread all over me. I felt so great and forgot all my worries. I even felt like singin a loud "Happy Birthday to Me" but controlled myself. So, you can imagine how I deal with my bad days now. I sit alone in an ice cream parlour, eat my ice cream slowly and would simply feel great. Other than ice cream, I use music, some light reading, and even watching a 'feel-good':) movie, to cheer myself up, depending on the circumstances.

Providing I have the house to myself I run myself a nice hot bath, soothing music in the background, fill it with radox make sure there's enough to make plenty of bubbles, lie back and have a glass of sherry and either a box of maltesers or a slab of Cadbury's chocolate and that works every time!
If I don't have the house to myself I escape to the gym, 35 minutes on the treadmill works wonders for me, with my ipod on and some great music it guarantees to blow away the cobwebs, blues and cheers me up no end.

Strangely enough, I am eating a box of maltesers now! Not because I need cheering up though, just because I am greedy!!!

I tend to need people to cheer me up, lol. Like a couple times in the past few weeks I posted topics here and received so much tremendously wonderful support here on Mylot, and that cheered me up more than almost anything else could have done! It also made me feel so much more bonded with the community here on Mylot, too. I could hardly imagine leaving here now, even if Mylot were not a paying site.
Anyway, if I can't get ahold of friends or anyone else to help lift my spirits, I will usually try to watch a favorite TV program to try to cheer myself up. There are some that I love so much that it would be hard not to feel a bit better, just watching it. But on the other hand, sometimes if I am upset enough I really can't concentrate on anything very well, so the tv idea doesn't always work. I really would rather have people to help make me smile, if at all possible, lol! ^_^

I feel terrible when soemthing like this happen to me. At first I don't feel like to do anything. But I insist myself to cheer up. To cheer up I try to tlak to my close friend. And sometime I watch a movie or go for a walk to feel fresh. That day I just eat what is my favourite.

It all depends on how i'm feeling. If an argument has left me feeling angry then I usually do some strenuous exercise to help work the anger out of my system and take the tension out of my muscles. After that I have a nice relaxing bath with lots of bubbles. But if i'm feeling a bit upset then I usually curl up on the sofa with my favourite snuggle blanket, put the tv on and eat chocolate. If i'm really upset then i'll also go on ebay or amazon and buy myself a treat to console myself, maybe an item of clothing, a book or a new game for my nintendo ds.
