I don't think people should be wishing for a certain gender. It doesn't really matter. And think about it. You want a daughter, and get a son..? Are you then not happy...? And maybe someone can't help it and feel little unhappy. That would be unfair to the baby, huh..?

And by the way "mazmoaz", I will always be happy with my children. No matter whether is that a son or a daughter. If I will have a son then I will surely feel happy but having a daughter will definitely fulfill my wish and I will really feel more happy for having a daughter as my child. Average males use to have their daughter as their apple of eye :-)

As someone else mentioned you shouldn't be have gender preferences before having a child. I know a mother who preferred daughters over sons and you can really tell. She often discusses that she hated having a son in front of her son. I wouldn't mind either gender, they'd be raised under my roof and that would shape part of their personality.

I don't have any kids yet, but i'm pregnant with a daughter right now! :)
Not all girls are going to be "sweet, cute and sensitive" though, just as all boys arn't going to love sports and be tough. Children are individuals and they will not always fit into the boxes that we create for them as far as their personalities go.

I have two daughters now so definitely i want a son in the near future but if turns out to be a girl again, ill accept her with open arms because she is my daughter, she came from me and she is my blood.

I have a boy and a girl. I always wanted it that way. I was the oldest of three and always dreamed of having a big brother. I wanted a boy first and then a little girl and my wish came true. My son is 5 and my daughter is almost 3. I couldn't be happier! :)
