I think maybe there should be. Look at all the fights that break out on the bus. How is the person who is driving the bus supose to pay attention to the road and the kids in the back of the bus who are fighting and throwing things on the bus. How dangerous is this situation?

I believe there should be a school bus monitor on every bus. The driver is suppose to keep his attention on driving the bus and what's going on around it so he doesn't get into an accident or cause one. If there's trouble on the bus his attention would be taken away from the road. If the bus had a monitor, that person could take care of anything that comes up with the kids. Safety should come first and having a monitor would definitely help.

Great question. I believe alot has to do with the busdriver and the route the children are on. My children ride a bus with children from K-12 and we have one of the worst routes in our school district...there has been alot problems..about a month and a half ago we finally got a bus monitor...what a difference...

that is a very dangerous situation. i myself have 2 young kids that ride the bus. there is always things going on hat the bus driver misses and then later blame it on the wrong ones. i think that having bus monitors would help out a whole lot

I believe there should be bus monitors. I am from a small town and we have students from kindergarten up to 12th grade that get on the bus together and we all no how some high school kids can be mean to the littler ones. I have been trying to tell my school this for awhile maybe I wil1 let them come to this site and read that it is a concern everywhere.
