They say the hardest thing to do in life is to let go... let this discussion be a starting point for all people who experienced the same thing. They say the fastest way to do it, is to EAT.. Many suggests chocolate... some people say tomato.. any information is greatly appreciated... thanx!

Honestly no offense.
It's not a good idea to use food to make yourself happy. It's cool to do so if you know the risks, some people will get addicted to eating and it only hides the pain. A huge risk comes to this as people put weight on.
Having said that. When i'm down the odd time i'll have 1 bowl full of ice cream with my family or a good old take away.
I never make the habit of doing this because it's a huge problem today.
Kudos!

I say the best food is ice cream. I say this because ice cream is my favorite food, but i like to think of it like this. Ice cream is cold just lke u wish your heart was when your heart got broken but its not so we eat ice cream as a treat to show how it feels to be cold. we shiver and realize (even though ice cream is delicious)that its good to had been in love. It shows that you are human and have feelings, and even though it hurts now it shows that you can one day love again. SO eat your ice cream today, and once you warm back up just be ready to love again! Good luck!

wow, I never heard that before. I would think that people would want to refrain from eating. No point in packing on a few pounds to go with that broken heart.

I think the only thing that can mend a broken heart is time. It takes time to get over pain and I don't feel food is really of any assistance in forgetting bad memories. I think the only thing that will gain, is weight, lol, and I'd rather take the time instead.

Eating chocolate etc may temporarily help. But these things are just escape mechanisms. In reality they are nit helpful.I know for instance a woman who easily get depressed and when she is depressed she eats a lot.Now she is so fat. So instead of indulging oneself to food it is good to find other ways. Try meditating. Meditation helps you face realities as it focuses on the inner self.Meditation actually means "healing" If your interested you may log on to www.bkwsu.org.

I don't know. When I got to experience that letting go thing, I find it hard to eat. Or even sleep. So, no food for me I guess. I drink booze though. It helps reduce some pain for some time. And hanging out with friends and having someone to talk to about it would be nice.

Personal to ask, but is there something to let go for you? I find exercise and physical activities to be a better alternative than munching .
