I know the answer to this one because I have been round the edge of the sky. Yep! I was one of the first astronaut's in the space race, but it was all kept very hush hush. Some people think that space is really, really big - but it's not. It's all an illusion. When the boffins look through a telescope at a planet, like Mars for example, they work out how far away it is by sending up signals a bit like a microwave and then when it bounces off and comes back, they can work out how far it is by how long it took. Wrong! They have assumed that the surface of Mars is more or less the same as Earth - but it's actually made of a very spongy type material, so when the signal hits it it doesn't rebound so strongly. Am I boring you? Anyway - Mars is actually only 158 miles away (give or take a few inches). Therefore it is not as big as they think it is. In fact you could walk round it between dinner time and going to bed. So, the edge of space..... It is only 312 miles straight up. Then you come to a big brick wall. If you follow the big brick wall round you will find that the sky is in the shape of a diamond. And that's the answer to your question. Of course, you will be wanting to know what's the other side of the big brick wall, I suppose - but you haven't actually asked me - so I won't tell you!
