Anyone living with HPV

My daughter was told yesterday that she has HPV. She has two of the numbers that could cause cancer. They took a biopsy yesterday and will send her the results. I have seen the commericals for this but never thought anything of it.
It's not a STD but it some forms of the virus can cause warts, but that's not the strain she has. If you would like to know more about this check out this website.

I know about this.In hungary all the young girls (maybe boys too ) receive the vaccination against it for a few years.

Uh oh that's sad..it is curable right? I've seen the commercial many times myself and didn't pay much attention to it till I heard on the news that our Texas Governor will soon be making it mandatory to get vaccinated for the HPV. How is your daughter feeling? Are the symptoms visible or identifiable? Wishing her a speedy recovery. And thanks for the link, I should read all I can about HPV.

Your very welcome. She is deciding if she should get the vaccine for it. It's three shots over time. I think we should wait for the results of the biopsy first. There was no sign, she went in for her annual pap and they found something abnormal.
I hope they make it mandatory around here because the shots cost alot of money.
