Why is Blogging so popular?

I have started several blogs with good intentions, one is about the music business, then mine went bad. One is about the review of childrens movies, but I found I was being very negative and the things I did like about the shows sounded cheesy. But there are blogs from others that I read on a regular basis that are just about thier day to day lives and for some reason I guess it like escaping from my life and going into anothers life. I am sure you have read where many who blog get very personal.

Everybody starts and maintains a blog for their own personal reasons. I started mine to earn a little extra income of the net from, but I continue to blog and make them better because I enjoy the experience of sharing my experiences with others and having them share their's with me. The money's not bad either. lol

I contribute to three different blogs. Blogging brings us the opportunity to become more disciplined as writers, practicing and learning new skills as we go forward, and for me that is one of my main reasons for doing it. I also enjoy the interactivity a blog gives me with my readers that you really do not have with a website. Cheers!

I hate to say it, but I don't even know what a blog is. I haer it all the time,but no clue of the purpose.

i don't mean to sound stupid. but i have a question what is a blog? i have woundering that for a long time...
