Discussion and Reply effects?

I find the text on mylot slightly boring as it does not have a system that allows the user to cahnge font, size , colour or if they want to make it bold etc. Also i earlier read a suggestion about a spell check function. what do you think of these ideas?

I would welcome a spell check option for starting our discussions and adding our replies. Not certain I would want to see too many different colours or fonts as the way it is now is easy on the eyes.
