I've been to the Bahamas. I went their on a mission trip with my church. We didn't go where most Americans go there. Not a resort or a beach or anything. We went to the middle of Nassau, where hundreds of homes were destroyed by the hurricans (this was a few years ago). We helped families re-build their homes. My group did roofs, and we installed a LOT of new roofs on homes!
It was amazing to see how they lived. It was a very poor area and these people had hardly anything but were so grateful for what they had. The average family had a home that was no more than 20 feet by 30 feet. Some people had homes as small as 5x5 feet!! Our bathrooms are that big! Speaking of bathrooms, they had outhouses. They had wells in their yard and that is how they hand washed dishes and clothes.
I would love to go back again, especially on another trip like that.

i would like to go out on a mission someday. it feels great to help people in need.we should thank God for all the blessing we have. we are so gratefull that we are not in that kind of place and we have a nicer life than them so whatever blessing we have we should share it to the needy

i had been in Batad, ifugao, philippines last dec. 2006. it was a very remote place and less travelled as well because it in the midst of the mountain. it was a 10 - 12 hr drive from manila and the road was bumpy and curvy..
from the saddle point u need to walk down 2 - 3 hrs to get to the falls but once ur theyre u will forget how far that place is because of the majesty of the falls and the village people were so friendly and accomodating as well.
