Great tip that puts thieves off so you don't lose your equipment.

When you need to leave your skis for any reason split them up if you can't lock them up. This way a potential thief will only see one ski and why steal that, right?

If you are skiing with other people, put one of your skis with one of theirs. This works great if one ski is longer than the other and if they are different makes. make sure you put one mismatched pair away from the other. This has worked for me - i have never had any skis stolen yet.

That's pretty cool and I likely would not have thought of it. It would really suck to come out and find your skiis gone. :)

Thats a pretty good tip. Most of my friends snowboard instead of ski, so they can't really do that. Have you had your skis stolen before?

That is a really good idea! Unfortunately, there will always be some idiot who would steal one ski just to be a jerk, but it sure would make anyone intelligent think twice. I just don't understand people who feel like they need to steal the property of others.

One of those cheap cable lock would do the trick too.

Hey what a great tip. I would have never thought of that. This tip could be used for other things as well I am sure. I remember when I was growing up a friend of my mother's always said "You can lock a thief up, but you can't lock them out." I always thought this was a great saying. I think the reason that he brought that up was we were driving through a neighborhood with bars on the windows. I remember that I had never been anywhere like that before. I guess I didn't travel much in my childhood days. In today's world, you see that a lot when you are in the bad neighborhoods of small towns, but you also see it quite frequently in just about every neighborhood of the bigger cities. It's just that the worse neighborhoods have even more security, like fences around parking lots and such. Anyways, thanks for sharing the great tip with us and have a great day here on myLot!
