You could ask your roomie to talk to him with all respect about smoking. You'll talk to him nicely by asking to stop smoking in your appartement and make him think about himself and health. I f does not agree, then tell to get out or you leave him. By doing that, you'll know if he really cares about what you tell him and about you and himself.
