Do you usually try to get the last word in an argument?

Actually, it really is.
But then I don't look to get the last word. Getting the last word doesn't mean you've won. I just look to win the argument.
I mean it is human nature to not want to lose.
But I guess, for me, I REALLY don't want to lose. I'd go on arguing and arguing until I win, even if it gets to the point where the other party is just so mad at me, I just wouldn't stop until the other person concededs defeat.
Of course I don't enter a losing argument either.
But I think this is a really bad trait and I'm learning to accept losing once in awhile so as to create a more harmonious relationship with the people around me.
Why? Is winning really important to you too?

I don't win every argument & I try not to say anything I'll regret or have to apologize for later. I don't always win,I loose when I am wrong. :)

And that's what I'm trying to get to. I can get pretty spiteful when I get agitated in an argument so I'm trying not to get to that stage everytime I start an argument or a debate with someone.
but pray, do tell, why did you ask this question then?
