pc monitor repair

my pc monitor cannot on, no power, no display, where should i start troubleshooting, i only have a little background on electronics but i can repair radios.

don't try to repair u pc or tv they can store large voltage in 11000 volt,

That happened to me once and I called the Dell hotline and it was something simple, the cord that you plug from the monitor to the cpu had one of the prongs bend and it was not making a connection, so my monitor would not work. Hope this can help you.

Most likely it is the PW unit, replace that and it should work

i have also a little knowledge in electronics but i think it is better you first check the ups output to the monitor .if there is a multimeter with you check the power supply also .if you didn't get solved your problem check the monitor power supply port shake it using hand .for further checking you have to open your monitor if you need please inform me.

computer monitor is not radio ,it has got 11,ooo volt current in it...so beware of it before opening ........
