Is there an unholy alliance between sams club and costco?

I've shopped at both Sams Club and Costco, and found they have the same setup and the same items. The actual products, though, are usually different.
I suspect a wholesale cartel.

You just might be on the right track, librarian! ;)
It's odd that when these guys open a store, they they never seem to complain about the same type of store in the same area, either! :)
To me, it seems that in these days of "Mega" everything, we've come to expect all the stores we shop in to be the nearly the same theme, prices and even "feel" as each other...
It's downright creepy! :(
