Do you think J.K is actually going to kill the poor boy? I mean, what's the point of all his struggle against Voldemort, if he dies? I guess He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named will be eventually punished, but Harry knocked down DEAD? That's absurd...I don't expect a fairy tale, but jeez...some positivity in the ending!!!

Actually J.K. Rowling has confirmed that ALL 3 main character will survive the end of the book. But that's not to say some side characters won't die. And there will be an epilogue at the end of the book going into the characters futures saying what happens to them after all this Voldemort stuff. So Harry won't die.
I USED to have a theory though. After book 6 I said that Harry and Voldemort would die together... that in order to save the world Harry would sacrafice himself... the ultimate good thing to do. But then I found out on her site all 3 characters would live... and my theory turned to mush.

Yes,I think that Harry will die.Consider this:How's he going to survive against the Dark Lord even after he has destroyed all the horcruxes.Remember what Dumbledore said in HBP,that even after his horcruxes are destroyed,Voldemort will still have his powers intact.I just don't think that Harry'll be able to pull out of this struggle alive.Or,at the very least,I think, either Ron or Hermione or Ginny'll have to snuff it inorder for Harry to get so enraged that he'll probably be able to do the Avada Kedavra.

I think if Harry is killed then... yes fans would be up in arms, but then again Voldemort came back...Could Harry not also have the same fate? If she might bring him back eventually it could be in the same manner. Also what is the heroes journey anyways, don't they go to the evil side at some time and triumph by coming back? I'm open to anything she does because up until now it has all been good. I have a feeling it would be Hermione though, leaving Ron and Harry feeling terrible because they may have been able to save her had they really worked as hard as she did on her skills.

I think not. If this is really the last of the Harry Potter series, I guess it would be a depressing ending and Rowling's fans would be up in arms if she indeed plans to kill harry in her novel. Moreover, this book is for kids and its quite morbid if Rowling will indeed bid farewell to harry by killing him in the end.
