Wow! I didn't know everyone in the world all believed in the same god! Here I was thinking there were thousands of different religions and hundreds of different sects and denominations of those religions, all with different dogma and different views! Thanks for telling me exactly what I believe in and exactly how to interpret a religious text!
Seriously, though, keep in mind everyone in the world has different religious beliefs and no one religion or interpretation of those beliefs is right. *You* believe that *your* god is against homosexuality. You don't speak for everyone and your religion isn't the only one out there.

Other than the 10 Commandments which were written by God on stone - God did NOT write a single word of the Bible or the Koran - men did.
If you believe God makes/creates people; than he made the homosexuals (homosexuals are not just humans - there are homosexual animals too). If God made them; then it isn't wrong; because God doesn't do things that are wrong. Homosexuality is NOT a lifestyle choice, it is the way they were born. People back in Biblical times did not understand that, so they added things against homosexuality to THEIR writings.

So many reasons why god should be left out of the discussion. Number one, as another poster said there are numerous religions, and not all of them condemn homosexuality, some go as far as to condone them outright. Number two, many people in the world aren't religious at all, or is Atheism a new concept to you? What about Agnositcs? Are all these people not important, do their opinion count for nothing. HOw about the idea of separation of church and state, in other words the church has no business in government, and neither of them have any business in anyones bedroom.
