There is this marzipan mold that I found and I want to use it as a chocolate mold. To give away as treats in a party. Is it ok to use a marzipan mold for that purpose?

do not call - phone calls are no longer welcome!
As long as the mold can withstand the heat of the chocolate and you'll be able to get the chocolate out without breaking it i'd say go for it! I'd test it on a corner or something first though incase it melts or is warped. Also keep in mind that the chocolate will break and/or splinter easier than the marzipan so it may be hard to get it out of the mold. Good luck!

I have NO CLUE what that "do not call" picture just showed up there! I was trying to upload it into a new discussion earlier but it wouldn't show up and now it comes here! Very odd!!

If its the silicon kind of marzipan mold, do you think it can handle the heated chocolate?

If its thin silicone don't do it! Thick silicone should be able to handle the heat though...there are baking pans made out of thick silicone. I'd go ahead and put some of the hot chocolate on the side/corner of the mold and try it out.

if you can bend the mold you can try it, the chocolate should not be hot enough to melt the mold if it is you've ruined your chocolate
