Okay, I'm a garlic freak and cook with it by the tons. Today, my meatballs are to die for BUT loaded with garlic of which after just tasting ONE meatball I've been burping up! Anyone have a trick so you don't burp up garlic after eating it? I do the same with green peppers too!

My Mum is a garlic freak tooo! I just asked her and she said eat parsley, if that does work she said lemon juice takes away the scent of garlic, failing that drink Soda Water.

I am a huge garlic fan but it gives me tummy issues to. I eat a slice of dried papaya or take some papaya extract or enzime. Papaya is so good for the tummy any tummy trouble.

LOL I had this problem last night. I love garlic but don't use it all the time. I take medicine for heartburn so nothing really bothers me anymore. Last night my kids took me out to dinner for my birthday. We ordered garlic bread with cheese which was the best I have ever had. It was to die for. Well all night long I kept burping garlic and it was strong. They must have had that bread loaded with it. Oh well it was worth it to me at least.

You know oddly enough I think the after effect of the garlic is part of what I love! LOL It sounds weird, even to me while saying it, but that garlic breath is just so sweet! LOL And I wonder why I sleep with the dog? LOL Just kidding!
The other night we had garlic and cheese biscuits and my house smelled of garlic for nearly a day it was so intense! I love the scent even!

I have no remedy...but if you would please post your recipe...I love garlic.
What about simethicone? Or the extra strength imodium - is supposed to help with gas.
My personal favorite is ice cream or thick chocolate milk, seems to coat the stomach and break down the gas.

Well, it's not really a "recipe" as much as it was watch mum cook and do my thing like her! LOL I simply use what I can but basically its:
3 pounds of burger
3 eggs
1 1/2 cups italian seasoned bread crumbs
4 cloves crushed garlic
4 Tbl. milk
salt & pepper
3 tsp. Italian seasoning
1 small chopped onion
6 slices of ripped up bread (the staler the better)
1/2 C. grated parm cheese
mix, roll into balls, bake in 400F oven for about 5 minutes or until browned, toss in a crockpot or on top of stove with sauce of choice!

I heard about the parsley thing too. But as they are burps they are coming from the food source, and I've been told parsley only stops general bad breath. A lady should never burp anyway! only joking. If you cannot stop the stinky burps, just try to embrace it and enjoy the reoccuring tastes of a good meal!

LOL sorry, I think it's just your stomach that can't deal with the garlic. Iøm a huge garlic fan as well but I've never had any problems after eating it.

The best thing to do for that is take a teaspoon full of baking soda, put it in 4 ounces of water (Warm) and drink it up... It's great, works wonders... I do the same as you, i go garlic galore. and onions and stuff like that, it always helps.
Hope it works for you like it does me
Peace and Love

Yeah, I'm thinking parsley isn't the best tasting stuff and green teeth is definitely just as bad as garlic breath! LOL
