Derek Luke - Amazing Actor

In my personal opinion, Derek Luke is an amazing actor. Antwone Fisher is one of my all time favorite movies, alongside that, Luke has portrayed characters in Friday Night Lights, Glory Road, and most recently Catch A Fire. Although Catch A Fire was a disappointment storyline wise, Luke certainly played his part.
The job done in Antwone Fisher though brought me to tears. Now I'm not a sucker for movies, but the emotion he brought playing that character, Luke was certainly the right person for the part.
As Boobie Miles in Friday Night Lights, Luke played a great cocky football superstar that unfortunately blew his knee. Luke, as Miles, then came around to eventually cheer on the team.
Luke plays an amazing part in movies based on true stories, but unfortunately for myself, I have yet to see Spartan. That is definately a movie on my list to see. Please any comments about Spartan would be greatly appreciated.

A movie (maybe not the word) emotional, inspired by a true story and scenario created by the main protagonist (Antwone Fisher). Difficult role for Derek Luke, who gracefully manages to identify with the main character, but we can not omit here any game's great young Denzel Washington and Joy Bryant. Item and an outstanding directorial debut of Denzel Washington and of course the script created in a very "expressive" by Antwone Fisher. The movie is good, but not of those that want to see them when you can do and not get bored, because the psychological is exploited very well as well integrated in the movie. This is a psychological drama, that if he managed to captivate you, do not let you judge a movie objectively. I recommend those interested.
About Spartan, though not so much break the traditional patterns of American action movie is exemplary! story is unfolding in an environment mysterious disappearance as Laura Newton is very bizarre. And the detective which must investigate this dirty work is none other than Val Kilmer, an actor giant character that inspired many of its features, managed another role perfectly. I think the movie can catch you even if you are not a fan of action movies, or those of political intrigue.
