Many people are trying to figure out the secret to earning money at mylot and raising their reputation rating. Well here are the secrets you need to get ahead in mylot. DO's Please take any warnings you get from the myLot staff seriously. Help us out and report trolls, flame wars, and troublemakers by sending an abuse report to myLot. Help out when you can. The myLot staff tries to monitor the site constantly, but we also need your eyes and ears to catch problems when they arise and report abusive behavior. Be sure to rate users’ discussions, responses, comments, and photos for the new myLot reputation system. The myLot reputation rating is decided by myLot users. Make sure you search for existing topics before starting new discussions. Please make sure you give your best effort to respond with quality responses. If you don’t know how to respond to a discussion, go on to the next one. Answers like “I don’t know” or “I don’t care” don’t help anyone and will be removed. Make sure to post useful links in discussions when necessary to provide authoritative guidance or to refer to a third party article. Please use myLot messages to chat back and forth with your myLot friends. Make plans for the weekend, schedule a time to meet for fun, or just talk about what happened today at work! If you would like to know more about a certain myLot member, request them as a friend. Make sure you ask for clarifications on discussion topics or responses when necessary or help other users to get their point across if they are not able. We like to think of ourselves as one big happy family. Feel free to contact us if you would like to advertise on myLot. Post in English, unfortunately the staff at myLot is not bilingual. Please let the myLot staff know if you are having any issues, by sending us a private message. Feel free to express your happiness with the myLot community. We love hearing how much you like myLot. Now for the DON'Ts Create more than one myLot account per person. Creating multiple accounts is grounds for immediate account cancellation and forfeiture of all earnings. Share PayPal or e-gold accounts. Please use only one PayPal or e-gold account per myLot account. Post comments in threads for the purpose of drawing attention to another thread on a different subject. Make multiple posts on the same subject for the purpose of getting attention paid to your issue. Post the same response to different discussions even if the discussions are related or similar. This type of activity will more than likely harm your reputation rating. Post copyrighted articles or photos please link to them. DON’T post copyrighted photos at all. Respond to a discussion until you've read all of the responses. Post "Me Too!" messages; add something of substance to the conversation. Start a new discussion unless you have something of substance to say. Start discussions asking for one word answers like “Yes or No”. Thank everyone that responds or comments on your discussion. This will not increase your earnings. Start meaningless discussions or give meaningless responses to try and boost your rating. Discussions like “What’s your age” will be deleted as well as short responses like “ok” or “no”. Start game and poll type discussions. For example, discussions like “How old are you” or “Let’s see how high we can count, I’ll start with one”. Post any links promoting other affiliate programs or that do not pertain to the discussion. Posting the same link over and over or posting links that have no relevance to the discussion is not allowed. Post discussions directed at one person such as “user1 what did you do today?” or “user2 where are you?” Post discussions soliciting a response for a response for example “+” rating for a response. These are against our terms and will be deleted. Post to “flame” other users! Being mean to others is just not fun. Anything derogatory that is directed at a myLot user is strictly prohibited. Just be nice and have fun! Request donations, post charity requests, petitions for signatures, chain letters or letters relating to pyramid schemes, advertising or solicitations for funds, or mass mailings. Post for commercial or advertising purposes, including classified ads in the discussion area. Post anything that discloses your personal information or others' personal information. We do not disclose it to anyone for good reason. Post similar or identical postings. Stealing posts from other users or posting the same thing over and over again will not help your myLot earnings. Multiple identical postings, even if legitimate, may be considered spam. Post symbols or languages other than English unless you are asking how to translate a word or a phrase. Start discussions on individual issues you are having with myLot. Please contact myLot via private messages and your issue will be addressed. Post discussions, responses or comments criticizing members for bad/broken English or bad spelling. Everyone is welcome at myLot, we have users from all around the world and they are welcome regardless of their proficiency with the English Language. Use all-caps or excessive punctuation. Post anything that inaccurately explains the myLot earnings algorithm. Our myLot mathematicians have worked long and hard on our elaborate payment system and we wouldn’t want any of our users to make them feel inadequate by breaking their algorithm in minutes. How do I start a discussion? Starting a discussion is simple. Once you’ve signed in, just: Enter the subject of your discussion in the box on the top right hand side of the screen, then enter your discussion details in the box below that. Be sure to give good detail so that your discussion is easily understood by other myLot members. Remember to post quality discussions. Next click the “Start your discussion!” button at the bottom of the discussion box. Almost done, now you need to Tag your discussion. See below to learn more about our tagging system. How do I respond to a discussion? Once you’ve found a discussion you’d like to respond to, just: Click the “Respond To This Discussion” beneath the original discussion posting. Enter your response in the box. Remember to post quality responses. Click submit and you are almost done. We would like you to tag your response. See below to learn more about our tagging system. How do I comment on a discussion? Once you’ve found a response you’d like to comment on, just: Click the “Add Comment” button at the bottom of the response. Enter your comment in the box. Remember to post quality comments. Click submit and you are almost done. We would like you to tag your comment. See Below to learn more about our tagging system. What is Tagging? Tagging is a way of using a keyword or descriptive term to categorize discussions. Tags are chosen informally and personally by the discussion starter, responder, commentator, or any person interested in the discussion topic. A discussion should have one or more "tags" associated with it to help organize the discussion as part of our automated classification system. myLot will provide links to other items that share keyword tags and enable users to select tags that interest them to be displayed on their homepage. Tagging allows for a way to categorize discussions on myLot for easy navigation. How do I Tag? Glad you asked. We would love for all myLot members to get in the habit of tagging their discussions. Tagging is simple and myLot gives you several ways to tag: Once you click the submit button after starting a discussion, posting a response or adding a comment, you will be taken to a page where myLot will ask you to “Add tags to this discussion”. Here you need to input keywords that are associated with your discussion. You also have the ability to tag others discussions. When you are signed in, you will notice at the bottom of each discussion page there is a “Tag this discussion” box. Simply read through the discussion and submit keywords associated with the theme of the discussion. What is a Best Response? A Best Response is a response that is chosen by the myLot member that started the discussion and feels the response they chose is the best response to their topic of discussion. How do I Choose a Best Response? To Select a Best Response, Go to “My Discussions” and in the “Best Response” box, select which response number you like the best. Don’t select a Best Response right away, wait a few days. This will give myLot users time to respond to your discussion topic and in return will give you a variety of responses to choose from. A Best Response should be utilized by all myLot members. Please help other myLot users know that their responses are useful and helpful! What is the Discussion Rating System? The Discussion Rating System (DRS) allows users to rate the usefulness of topics, responses and comments on myLot. The goal of the DRS is to help keep the quality of myLot discussions as high as possible for all members. myLot members should rate discussions, responses, and comments based upon quality and usefulness. We are very excited about the DRS and encourage everyone to use it. The DRS is factored into our proprietary earnings algorithm, so this will help us properly reward valuable contributions to the myLot community. How do I use the DRS? The DRS is very straight-forward and easy to use: Read the topic, response, or comment. If you find the topic, responses, or comment useful, then positively rate that action by clicking on the plus sign (+) next to it. If you find the topic, response, or comment not useful and feel it negatively impacts the myLot community, then negatively rate that action by clicking on the minus sign (-) next to it. If you have no

Well one would think they would read the rules, but obviously many haven't. Look how many discussions there are about things that are plainly written in the guidelines and frequently asked questions...If they were reading them they wouldn't have to ask some of the rediculous questions that they ask. And yes the intelligent people do read them...but then there are these others....lol

Wow, thank you for taking the time to post this. "We love hearing how much you like Mylot" All right, but you asked for it. I've tried a lot of different money-making programs, but this mylot seems to actually be legit. Mylot recognizes that fresh and relevant content is king and its users should be rewarded. Sure, you don't make much, but it is a healthy alternative to getting ripped off and being in the negative like other "money making" programs and sites. It is a great concept for a web site/web community and I appreciate the ingenuity of its founder(s) and mathematicians and programmers behind it. While I know there are many other ways to make much more money online, a good, productive forum like is one I'll probably stick with. Anyway, just my 2 cents worth (probably literally ha ha).
