drinking water

Do you notice that the entertainment industry makes water drinking taboo and drinking alcohol and sodas acceptable? When watching movies the actors take a handful of pills and a sip of a glass or bottle of water to swallow them down. And we're supposed to believe that that's enough to rinse them down. Usually the instructions on the bottles tells you to take a glass of water with suggested doseage. I believe that is to protect the stomach lining and to make the pills easier to get down into the stomach.
Now when alcoholic beverages or soda drinking is shown on the screen they are gulped down as if the actors were drinking from a life-giving stream. I mean they're really qulped down!
I know some people who don't drink much or any water. And first thing in the morning and last thing at night they drink alcoholic beverages and or sodas.
Now what do you think about that? Health is unfashionable and unhealthy is fashionable.

And when they throw those pills down their throats w/o drinking water it seems like the pills get stuck in their throat and it makes me gringe.
