Where you surprised that Anna Nicole Smith died?

I have to say I was shocked but not surprised. Her whole life, played out in the media, with so many trials and tribulations, seemed like one that was veering out of control.
Just the fact that she appeared either under the influence or suffering from mental retardation in a lot of her public appearances/interviews made it appear to me that she wouldn't live to a ripe old age. And, unfortunately, I was right. Such a tragic end to a beautiful woman and so sad that her daughter will never get to know her.

she seemed to me like one of those people who would always be around. and i would just be waiting to see what crazy thing she would do next. she was one of those "larger than life people" and it seems strange that she is gone. i wasnt a great fan or anything but it still seems strange.

hmm i think i'm with you... shocked, but not surprised... its a sad thing thought because she has that daughter and what happens to her (they dont even know the father).... I am hoping that things turns out ok for her family and that anna can just rest in peace
