Have you ever had one of those days?
I think "one of those days" is a universal thing. Some days stuff just happens one thing after another and it turns into not a very good day.
Normally I wouldn't ask a question like this but I having "one of THOSE days."
Today started normally. Got up, kids off to school, day progressed normally. Then for some reason I looked at the clock wrong and thought it was earlier when it was really later and realized I was about to miss picking up my middle son. I raced off to the school to get him. I made it in time to see the teachers lock the gate. If I had been one second earlier, I would have gotten him in time. I had to go park in front of the school and go get him inside the office. That was still fine. No big deal, I certainly didn't get upset by it.
Fast forward to two hours later. It was time to get my first son from school. I went into the parking lot. One side you park normally, and the other side of the parking lot you back up into the spot. Well I backed up into the spot. Everything was still going great. I was going to wait for my son in the car so I turned off the car and was doing stuff while I waited for him. All of a sudden a truck tries to back up and park the same way I was. Well he backed into the front of my car, breaking the turn light and dinting the hood a bit. It was an older man in a really nice truck. He was sorry and wants to pay for it out of his own pocket and not ge the insurance involved. I think it's because he doesn't want his insurance to go up. So we're going to try it that way and see what happens. But I did get the number of someone to be a witness, just in case. The man was flustered, apparently it was one of the first times he came to get his grandchild and that happened. He said he didn't even see me. Ugh. I didn't get mad at him or anything. I do understand that these things happen, I just wish it didn't happen to me. That's life though...
All this happened while I was waiting for my son who NEVER came. Of course as a parent part of me is wondering if he's fooling around on campus and the other part of me freaks out and wonders if someone has somehow kidnapped him off the school ground. So I have to drive to the front of the school, park and go into the office and say that my son never came out. So the lady who works there pages him to the office and I go look for him. I see him coming down the hall and I ask what happens. He said that he cleaned the floor of the classroom so he could get one Yu gi oh card as a prize. He took 20 minutes to do this. My son, who is 7, knows to hurry when school is out. It's not the first time he's fooled around but it's certainly the longest.
When we left some of the teachers started picketing in front of the school. That didn't affect me but it added to the day. I did wish I had my camera so I could have taken a picture and written a local news article for Associated Content about it, but I didn't have it.
Next I still had to run my errands, go to the post office. That went OK. Next I went to the Body Shop to get an estimate on the car. That went OK also. I went to a Body Shop that the man who hit my car referred me too. I think he called them to tell them I was coming. The guy who works there is supposed to call me with the estimate in the morning because their computers were down.
Next I needed to get diapers. Before I got hit, I was going to go back to target to take back a phone cord we didn't need and then use the money to get the diapers. But with my car being hit, I was a little worried about driving it that far with the turn light being how it was. I went to the closest place which was Smart and Final. I didn't know that Smart and Final had a terrible diaper selection. They only had Huggies for 15.99 for 52 diapers. Now maybe this doesn't seem like a lot to some people but I'm broke. I can get diapers at Food Maxx for a little over 9 dollars, sure it's the off brand but they work just as good for my youngest son. But there was no other store around me so I had to buy $16.00 diapers. I felt like I flushed 6 dollars down the drain by buying them though.
When I got home, both my Mom and I were stressed out so we bickered a little bit. I made dinner though and everything was fine after that.
So all of this qualifies me for "having one of THOSE days." I've had worse days and I've had better days but all those things combined makes it one of those days.
A good thing did happen though, I got my first payout from myLot from Paypal! That was exciting. It was for a little over 13 dollars. And I know that things could have been worse, at least no one was hurt in the accident. And if he didn't see my car, then it's a good thing there wasn't a child standing there!
So was today "one of those days" for you? Have you had one of those days recently?

I seem to have one of those days often. My most recent however, was the day I was driving back to school and slid my car right into a bank. My family was just getting on my nerves entirely that day, and things weren't getting any better. So I packed my car and headed back to school and things were fine until the last moment. I was pulling into my school and slid right into a bank on school property. I knocked my car out of alignment and lost a hubcap. I had to park, unload my car and take a scouting party with me to find my lost hubcap in the pouring snow. Then, I had to make the phone call home and let everyone know what had happened. It was just a bad day.
Good news is, I finally got my car fixed and that happened about two weeks ago or more.

Wow, it sounds like a terrible day! I have had such days too and I can say that I really want to crawl under the covers and hide my head on those days, just hoping for the day to be over. I am sorry that you and your mom were stressed out and bickered a little bit but happy to hear that everything was fine after dinner. Sometimes we just need to eat a good meal to get our bodies back to what passes for "normal" for us. Hang in there because not every day is "one of those days!"

Yes, it was THAT DAY in december, when I wanted to buy a unit to my furnitures. I ordered my furnitures from a catalogue one year ago. BUt I did not have much money then, so I decided that I would order few units later. So in december I went to the seller and showed him what I wanted to order from the catalogue. But unfortunatelly that shelf is out from manufacturing for a few months. I was very sorry. But I did not give up, but searched for the all sellers in the city who deals with that manufacturer, maybe one of them has it on stock. It was cold, and raining, and I had to go over the mud sometimes. None of them has it on stock, and nowhere I found similar :( . I was wet, and dirty, and sad.
Anyway today I also have received my payment 23.1 for two months.

I think we have all had "one of those days"; usually if there are more than three or four events that I consider bad I will go home, lock the doors and just veg on the couch. One of the worst days happened a couple years ago when we were moving; we decided to sell almost everything and ship what we wanted to keep via FedEx Ground. It was about two thousand dollars cheaper and everything would get there the same time as us as we were taking the train. They ended up losing two of my bags when we got to Chicago so I had no winter clothes to wear when we ended up on the East Coast; the clothes that I shipped were supposed to be there and the tracking numbers said the boxes were delivered. Top this off with the computers being shipped via FedEx Ground so I had no way to check the status without calling them. All of the boxes were delivered but none of them were at the house. I was panic stricken and close to having a breakdown. When I saw the FedEx guy making a delivery next door I asked him where the boxes were and if he could check on them. That's when he told me they were on the back porch, stacked up, waiting for me to bring them inside. I felt like a complete moron.
There's a lot more to that story but I won't bore you with the details. Everyone has 'one of those days' so just roll with the punches and when you are having a good day … appreciate it :]

Yes i have.
For me i used to have these days all the time. In fact i can remember a period in time where i had so many things like this that i was really loosing my head. i still get 'em from time to time but i think we all do and i doubt any is lucky to avoid these things.
It's pretty daily life. Some days you win some days you'll loose.
Kudos!

I know what you mean. Sometimes I get up and everything goes wrong from the start to finish. Those are the kinda days I want to crawl into bed and die. I have had some that I blogged on the internet about and read them later on and gone. Wow that WAS a bad day!
It sounds like you had one too. We all do. Its life. Sometimes we just have days when things go wrong and you want to die cause it just wont end! :(( sorry you had one and glad you got some good news with payout :))
