Is Valentine's day too commercial

Just wondering what everyone's opinion is on Valentine's day?
I now call it Hallmark day because basically it isn't about love anymore, it is about chocolate and cards.
Rather than getting a cheesy card and waxy chocolate, I would much rather a kind gesture or a romantic dinner at home.

Hi I am also from Montreal, I think it is commercial and makes many people unhappy when they have no one to celebrate with. It is very unfortunate.

I think it has gotten commerical. I think people shy away from VDay mostly because of how commerical it seems to be. People don't think about what it's really supposed to mean, which is showing love for the person you truly care about.

Depends on the person. When I am single I could care less for V-day, however when I am in a relationship I do look forward to the day and all of the festivities.
