Nap Times for your kids

I have a one year old and am trying out going from 2 naps a day to one bigger nap. It has gone a bit better in the sense that before I used to have trouble getting her to go to sleep, whereas now the extra hr or two being awake really tires her out, but the problem is she is a lot crankier for that extra hr or two. If i go back to two naps a day it will be back to having her screaming cos she hates going to bed. How many naps a day do your kids have?
