Speeding Ticket

Hi,I recently got a speeding ticket for a damn moving violation in NJ. It was really a pain considering the points that you accumulate over it and the insurance charges u have to bear. How many of you have got tickets like that? Esp in the US, which is so vulnerable to traffic and what do u do to beat those damn tickets??

Yeah, but hubby has gotten a lot of them, so I know all about the points, fines and insurance rates going up.

yeah, can u give me an idea ab the insurance rates going up? How much do they shoot up against the points??

I have only received one speeding ticket in my life. I didnt get the points or insurance hikes though. I went online and took traffic school, it's a class you do online you have to pay for it but it reduces the price of the ticket a little bit. In the end I payed 10 dollars cheaper than the ticket price. I was lucky to have it available to me, my insurance and driving record wasnt affected at all.

Thats really awesome that ur rates didnt go up. These cops are so stringent here. They catch up anyone who has crossed even a slight variation in the speed. I am also planning to take the defensive driving course which will reduce it 2 points. Hope it will help..
