I know I am not the only parent with kids who won't eat, but I am just about at my wits end lately. I have almost fifteen month old twin girls who used to eat pretty much anything I gave them, and now the only thing I can get them to eat is raisins, cheese, and chicken. Sometimes yogurt. They spit everthing else out, and I mean everything. I have tried all kinds of fruit, dipping them in dips I really didn't want them to have, and nope they wouldn't eat that either. I have tried hiding veggies in things, nope they spot the veggie in their mouth and that pops out too. They even sppit apple sauce out all over, and laugh about it too. If one does the spitting, the other does as well. It is soooooo frustrating. I give them Cheerios on their tray, they throw them on the floor, or put them in their mouth and then spit them. I have tried dried fruit, fig newtons, noodles, everthing! I feel like they are going to be so vitamin deficient! I hope someone has some ideas for me.

Here is my question. Are your children feeding themselves at every single meal? If not then WHY? My daughter was potty trained at 17 months. She was feeding herself completely with adult food by 10 months. She only ate "baby food" for 4 months. She went right to people food and fed herself. She is very independent and I encouraged that.

Yep they feed themselves for the most part. Except that they take it, and throw it on the floor. Or they put it in their mouth and then take it back out and throw it on the floor. I have tried putting bowls on their trays with food in them, even the suction cup kind, and they take them, dump the food out all over and throw the bowl or bang it on the tray to make noise. I have two very cute stinkers.

I wouldn't worry about this too much , most children do go through a stage where they are more picky but as long as you keep giving it to them and giving them the chance to like it they should be alright .
If you are really worried about them not getting what you feel they are required a day you could try a multi vitamin for them in the mean time .

Do they make a multi vitamin for kids under two that isn't a very gross tasting liquid? I tried that too, and in a bottle, or just straight, it wasn't a go. Thank you though!

I had the best doctor in the world when my son was little, he told me "He'll eat when he's hungary" Continue with the items they'll eat. (sounds healthy) When your eating make a big deal about how good something tastes and don't let them rule your world. The more upset you get the less things they'll eat. Welcome to parenthood.
