Duhhhhh.... what do they know about laws? and implementing it? making platforms and doing projects??? for short what do they know about gverning the country??? some of them didn't finish high school...I don't think they have the capacity to be a good leader, because they know absolutely nothing...politics is a very dirty world, I don't think they can handle very stressful situations...we Filipinos should be wise in voting...vote the rightful one, not the popular one... what do you think will happen if this guys win in the election??? what will happen to our future??? is it worth it to vote for them???

I sincerely share your sympathy, poor Philippines... They never learned... Just heard that one popular ring boxer is running for mayor and her wife for vice mayor, they must not be serious, otherwise we will witness a political circus again. Somebody got to advice these couple.

we Filipinos should learn from the mistakes of our past...politics is a place for the intellects and the rightful one not the popular one...frankly, I think that Pacquiao is abusing his popularity very well as a ring boxer...it's very ridiculous...

Hmmm... geejoy, good question. Although personally, I think majority of us will just pick the ones popular. After all, everybody loves a hero. Our soaps and telenovela teaches that. People just love to live in fantasy and then when reality struck, just loves to blame everyone else. It's a sad cycle that our people can't seem to break off.

yeah.....political circus no doubt about it...but then, well, the optimistic me, we still have hope...if we will just unite and use our votes wisely, we will be able to eradicate those politicians, celebrity or not, whos main goal is just to get power and money from the people.......its ok..let them run for positions..what matter is the voters..us..to be vigilant and intelligent enough..but the question is...are we ready for that kind of attitude towards our vote? hmmmm..

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't there suppose to be a requirement for a person to be eligible for candidacy? First Erap, now this. It would seem that people are getting dumber and dumber by the minute. No wonder we Filipinos are a laughing stock of other countries. I can understand the fact that Manny may want to do something good about our country, but entering into politics? Seems that boxing had completely befuddled his mind. The bad news is, he's more likely to win because of his popularity. Our country's politics' becoming (heck, it is already) more like a high school popularity contest. No matter the intellectual level of a person is, if his famous, he is going to win hands down. Sucks doesn't it?

The Philippine politics is really a circus arena. Anybody can run for office, qualified or not as long as they are popular. I urge my relatives to vote wisely and as vote buying is rampant, accept the money but vote for the right person. These candidates that spend so much money in the election will be the most corrupt after they won to get back the money they had spend. Manny Pacquio should stick where is he good at. He should be active in helping the youth that look up to him. He will make a difference that way.

Well, there are some celebrities that are really cut for politics. But sadly, most of those who are planning to run this election is just plain non-sense. Manny Pacquiao will run for office? That's ridiculous. I respect him as a boxer, but as a politician, heck I won't even bother voting him. It is just plain ridiculous.

I agree with you. How I wish the Comelec would have a better critieria in choosing a candidate. Some of the "wannabe" politicians are making the country a laughing stock... Filipinos should wake up and think of their future... NO popularity please... It is not a pageant.

What will happen to our future? Well, we will sink even deeper into the quagmire. Thanks the Lord for sites like mylot, at least we are earning a little extra here. And with dollars to boot! If we just depend on our government, at the rate we are going we will be the world's first and only "fifth - world country". Yeah, that's how deep our economy will sink.
