Is it "history repeats itself" or "history teachers repeat themselves"?

I heard this from a close friend... and i would like to share the same thought with you. any reactions...wise or otherwise?

History does repeat itself. That is a fact in my opinion. =) As for the second statement, it is not only history teachers. ALL teachers repeat themselves if you ask me. =) Have a nice day! =)

I dont believe in history repeat itself because past is past, we are all unique each and everyone of us is unique so what happen before to one perso cannot be happen to another person in the same way...
