Well I have tried some diets. I have worked out in the gym for over a year. I still have about 20 lbs to loose. I am not fat in no manner what so ever, but I am also. I am big build (big bones?) and I am 5"9". My ideal weight is about 20 lbs less than what I am now. Can anyone recomend a good, HEALTHY diet without pills.??.I know for one is to stop drinking the sodas, and Im working on that. So any opinions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Not sure if you're already doing this so forgive me if you are...try lowering your carbohydrate intake..potatoes rice bread and pasta and drinking more water. Throw out any junk food you are addicted to..that's what I did, lol. Eat fruit or veggies as snacks when you get hungry between meals and at night. Cut down on salt. It makes you retain water..15 minute walks 4 times a week really work. If it's freezing where you are, you could go to a mall and walk instead of outside or when you don't feel like going to the gym. Hope I gave you at least one thing you haven't tried yet.

I said cut down on carbs because you should if you are dieting...not cut them out all together. Also she stated that she goes to the gym already so adding a 15 minute walk 4 times a week does help. I worked for a weight loss clinic for a while and had many clients with different situations. The ones I mentioned are just basics that some people might forget to do. Overdoing it can frustrate a person and that could lead to discouragement.

Dude, Try commenting in a more positive way instead of attacking. You have your way and I have my training and experience. Besides, making friends on here is sort of the point to this site. Besides, you are forgetting that some people have diabetes and cannot consume the carbs you state are vital to succeed in getting in shape. Therefore, you may discourage those with diabetes that wish to lose weight with what you are saying.
