Do you believe in one true love?

Because of my own beliefs on the subject I have found myself very curious as to what others believe. Do you believe that for each of us there is only one true love? One person we can love truly and completely? Or do you believe, as I do, that there is no such thing? That every love felt truly with the heart is "true love"? I believe that we love every person differently, although possibly equally in a different way. What do you believe?

I don't believe that there is only one true love. I've been in love alot. But if there is, then I still have some luck because I haven't found anyone who truly loved me.

Is it not possible for there to be more than one person who would ever feel this way about you? I would hate to think that we are so limited in our lives that we would only feel this way about one person, it makes us seem like very unloving people, does it not?

i do believe everyone has a soul mate and firmly also believe we only love once in our lives. When i say love once, I mean with a person we share our life

Thank you for your response. My question would be, what happens if you never find that "one person"? And what happens if we choose to extend ourselves, are we cheating someone else out of their one true love?

thank you for responding. If I ever met a man who could literally "take my breath away," I think I would fall at his feet! If one person were made for you, shouldn't it be easy to find them?

I beleive that there are is someone out there who is right for you, but there could be more than one who is right for you. Sometimes you think they are right but they dont feel the way you do. I think eventually everyone finds that mr or ms right.

Amen to that... love is just... well, love. I don't believe that anyone can actually pinpoint it exactly because it is different for everyone.

I sure wish i could believe in one true love then i could be content. I just can't believe that's all my heart is capable of. I haven't had a lot of experience with falling in and out of love, but in my relationship i feel i haven't given it my all and i can't explain that. I suppose i believe like you do. Thank you for responding! It seems like you are sad... I can understand where you are coming from where I have often felt the same way. Part of me doesn't WANT to believe in one true love. I think that it is an impossible thing to believe in. You take care as well.
