I am having trouble getting the gophers out of my yard. Yesterday, I saw two new digs and my neighbor had 1 big mound, so they called the golpher man, who treated all of the holes. How long will it take to get the golphers out of my yard? Any suggestions would be helpful.

When you say the gopher man treated the holes, I assume you mean that he put some poison bait in them. It should work fairly quickly, but more can always move in later. You can buy the poison bait yourself and do it. I lived in a house with a lot of gophers in the area and we did the baiting ourselves. But the best thing was our big yellow cat, who would smell the gopher in a fresh mound, wait for the next pushup of dirt, then plunge his paw into the mound, claws ready, yank out the gopher, then kill and eat him! I've never seen anything like it!

Thanks for the response and we did treat the holes the first time and either we used the wrong chemical or did it wrong, so that is why we had the professional bait them. We have year round good weather, so the only thought that came to mind is we must have so many gophers that we have to be patient. Our neighbors cats always look full and like sitting near the holes, so hopefully my yard will have less gopher holes soon, as it really looks terrible.
