Party Ideas for 60s theme

We are preparing for my mom's birthday party and the theme is 60s. We are looking for a band who can perform 60s music. What other party ideas can you recommend?

We had a 60s theme party for one of my friend's birthdays and we called it an Atomic Cocktail Party. It was really fun. Everyone dressed up of course and we served all sorts of cocktails.

Maybe a pyschedelic theme or hippies party with lots of bold colors for decor as well as the food like cake decorated in with a sniley or peace sign.

Hors 'd ourve parties were popular then...and drink parties. (you pick a certain drink and only serve that...)
