UPS stands for Uninterupted power supply. It keeps the system running when there is a powercut.you may loose your data if there is a powercut when you are using your computer and you dont have UPS.My UPS is giving problem any body here can tell me what could be the reason.I always keep it on charging.

Yes, all my computers have a UPS. Brand is APC and all are 950 volts. Keeps me powered for around 20 to 15 minutes more. It's great for doing last minute file saving when we experience a blackout or when there's too many electrical static. Costs around $100 each. It also helps in preventing static and ground damage to your hardware and saves your hardisk from suddenly swithching off and having to restart with scandisk and can prevent your hardisk into ending up with bad sectors.

I'm not using ups on my computer since electric problem is very rare happent at my place, I'm only using AVR, about your problem, you should describe it more clearly so the other could also describe what should you do to fix it, btw ups problem usually have a connection with the batteries inside it, may be the best way is call the supplier for this, since ups usually works on long time period.
