Adsense, or no Adsense?

I don’t often ask for advice, but a response got me thinking about it. I’ve been debating whether to put Adsense on my website, http://sydneymediajam.com The first thing that occurred to me is that it might be fun to find out what “targeted ads” appear on a site with a little redhead and her operatic racing chickens, giant slugs, Celtic immortals, and my various culture jam articles, music, art, and book excerpts. I can see it now; SKI BOOTS FOR OPERATIC RACING CHICKENS, LATEST STYLES… DESTROY CIVILIZATION WITH NEW IMPROVED CULTURE JAM MACROS… CHANGE YOUR LIFE! BECOME IRISH, SEE IF IT HELPS… Well, it’d probably be worth a laugh. However, being a writer, and therefore a swine, I’m also interested if anyone can tell me whether Adsense is worth the effort as a paying proposition. I don’t want to clutter up the site with garbage, and have to realign everything on the basis of some dating agency ad. We sociopaths need to eat, too.
