The directors or producers of the show though didn't know until after she read for the part. She had to tell them she'd been in the movie and who she'd played. Once they knew that they said it was fate for her to be in the show. I watched a expose on all the supermans on the History Channel and they discussed that story on there.

How could the produce not recognize the original Lana Lois? She is the only red hair charter in the Superman movie and comics.

The young man they chose to play Superman in the movie is a great look a like for Christopher Reeves. The Clark on Smallville delivers the heart of Superman to the screen. I would have love to have seen what he could have done with the role of superman on the big screen. He and smallville's Lana could have both been fantastic in the movie!!!...

That's interesting. I didn't know that. I haven't seen Superman III yet. I know that there was a different Martha Kent in the pilot episode, but I really didn't like her as much. I'm glad we got Annette O'Toole she makes a great Mrs. Kent.

haven't seen Superman III? HAVEN'T seen SUPERMAN III?
OMG it was the best one!!
It might not seem that way now that it is so 80's.
This is the one that introduce his evil alter ego.
And Richard Pryor as the comic sidekick?
If you haven't seen it; it is worth watching Christopher Reeves in them tight Grrrrr
